6 Baby Bumps

Although I am looking forward to meeting this new baby, I am also thinking about how precious pregnancy is.  How fast we forget what it feels like to have a little foot sticking out, how exciting it is to realize that first flutter is actually a new life and how incredible it is to grow a baby in your belly!

I was just looking back at all my pregnancies.

Sister Act

Mike has three sisters.
I grew up with none.
When I married Mike I gained more than just a great man.
I got a pile of fantastic sisters.

Tammy and I have been pregnant at the same time but I was in California and she was in Canada.
I love that our kids are close in age and proximity and their relationships with each other are really precious.  I love being a mom with Tam, I trust her completely with my kids and she is my biggest ally and confidant on the parenting front.

I am so excited to now be pregnant with Terri.
Our babies will likely be only 1-2 months apart!
Terri was a teenager when she came for the summer to nanny for us when Maddie was born.
I love how our relationship has grown over the years as we have gained more things in common.
It's cool how an age gap can disappear as you get older!
I am so excited to enjoy the journey of motherhood alongside her!

Today we got some pics before I lose my last {that's right, I said it...LAST} baby bump.

Counting Down, Slowing Down

According the the Baby Bump app on my phone, I have a baby the size of a leek {19.75in}, a 2 1/2 pound uterus and only 8 days to go!  Nesting is in full swing around here and I am pretty sure I have begun to perfect "the waddle".

I am making sure to stop for lots of moments like this.

This morning we took a walk and we still had the gorgeous, huge purple balloons from Maddie's party so we took them along.  Mailee asked if she could do a photo shoot and I agreed.  She is quite the photographer.  Here are a few of my favourite images all captured by my 9 year old...

I have gotten a photo of each of my toddlers sitting "on the baby".  The kids love these photos and Mailee wanted to take some of Cait sitting on the new baby!

Mailee was crouching down for this one, getting the grasses in the photo.  She was loving using her creativity with the camera.

I never really realized that Mailee enjoys taking photos.  She had a confidence that I haven't seen before.  There is so much I don't know about my kids!  She was so excited and so proud to look through all her pics.  Even being home with a kid every day does not guarantee that all of her needs, talents, dreams and hopes will be identified and fulfilled. 

Today reminded me to slow down and pay attention.  

You never know what kind of treasures are hiding in your own home!

New Duds For The Bump

My mom sent a fun package with some awesome maternity clothes!

My girls were all over a fashion show and photo shoot this afternoon.

Oh to have daughters!  So much fun!

33 Weeks Pregnant

Only 7 weeks to go! How exciting!

30.5 weeks pregnant.

Mikayla took this photo. I heard once that the best pictures of a woman are ones taken by her child, there's more love in her eyes or something? Anyways, I think she did a really good job. Cute to watch her get up on a chair and tilt the camera a little bit. So serious about everything she does!
