The Zoo!

We enjoyed a morning at the Chaffee Zoo. Fresno has an awesome zoo and because our town does not have one at all, the kids always want to come to the zoo when we come to town.

My little peacock

The kids loved the reptile house. they looked at each exhibit in order, with Mikayla leading the way and reading the info for the kids. Often the girls couldn't find the reptile but Caleb would come up from behind an point it out to them.

Watching the sea lions.

We have a picture of me standing on these logs when I was a little girl.

Caleb and Grandma liked the Camel best.

This is the only photo of Caitlyn at the zoo. Shoot.

Mailee holding a miniature zebra.

The kids loved this- those guides had photos of all the animals in the exhibit and they spent a lot of time searching for each one and then reading about them.

At the top of the structure in the rain forest with a beautiful canopy of green leaves above them. They were all smiles (and not fake ones) CUTE!!

Wild Water Adventures

Yesterday we took the kids to the water park. I have been telling them about this water park for a while, you know, "when I was a kid..." It was great to finally take them and show off one of Fresno's finest venues!!

So excited to get started!
We met Erin and Dave and their 3 kids at the park. Dave and his son Cohl went on lots of fun "big kid" rides with my big girls. The mats they are holding make them slide much faster down the water slides...the big girls loved it, Maddie was not so thrilled. She went once and that was it!

Mikayla was really brave, she did the yellow banzai two times!!

Caleb loved sliding and playing in the pirate ship.
I was so thankful for the waterproof camera so I could get photos of the kids in action! See my feet? This ride was huge and Mailee was really nervous but she did it!
I was able to go on rides and enjoy the big kids because Grandma Bev came along, we rented a cabana and Caitlyn and Grandma bonded in the shade. Thanks Mom!
Wild Water Adventures boasts the "largest wave pool in California" . It was large and the waves were huge and the kids LOVED it. The two tubes and two life jackets were super helpful!

The big girls floating in the wave pool.

I forgot how multicultural my town was.

We had a really fun day. No major meltdowns, no lost kids, no injuries! The biggest success in my opinion was how cute my kids were together. They looked out for each other and helped each other all day. They are awesome kids!
The one thing missing? Mike. We will have to go back someday with him!

Last Saturday...

...We had an awesome day in the sun!! We attended "Burst Training" at the Apple Bowl first. This is a service Mike offers to his patients. It is an awesome work out program that takes less than an hour. This was my first time working out since Caitlyn was born. It felt great but man, was I slow!! Please feel free to join us any Saturday at the Apple Bowl. Kids are welcome too!

We did it!

After Burst Training we went to City Park to show Court a piece of our awesome town. Regrettably, we didn't bring the kids' suits and I was feeling quite un-flexible and would not let them get wet in their clothes so they did not get to enjoy the water park. Maybe next weekend.

Loving the swings.

Loving the baby

Loving the Aunty

Come back soon Courtney!!!
(This is actually a great possibility because Court's aunt and uncle live here :)

Face lift for the Waterpark!

We took in the City Park Water park for the first time this summer on the weekend. The water park has undergone a major face lift and we were impressed. Things we noticed:

-pooh bear was gone (this is a good thing)

-new cute red and white polka dotted mushroom

-better water guns

-a cool dumping bucket

I think they secretly like to pose all together, they do it so willingly!

Mikayla, such a big girl now!! Always thinking, always looking for more fun, helpful and responsible.

Dainty little Mailee! Creative and sensitive, caring, cautious and delicate.

Maddie the rebel- going down the slide on her tummy! Loud and confident yet attached at the hip to me in an unfamiliar crowd.

Whee! Baby Caleb, expressive, committed, stubborn and sure.
